There are people who like pumpkins, and then there are the people behind the annual Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze. Since 2004, this Halloween celebration has grown ever larger and more elaborate in its use of the thing perhaps most associated with the October holiday: pumpkins! Make time to attend this amazing event, running through the end of November in Croton-on-Hudson.
During The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze, the area's historic riverside landscape is transformed into a fall wonderland by literally thousands of hand-carved jack o'lanterns! You won't believe the incredibly complex displays created specially for this event, from a replica Statue of Liberty to a functioning carousel to a herd of dinosaurs! The pumpkin productions also involve synchronized light and sound shows to up the wow factor to a whole different level.
