Self Made: A Makers Collective will be hosting their holiday bash this Saturday, December 2 in Beacon! Find excellent holiday gifts and support independent Hudson Valley designers at this unforgettable marketplace! Featuring music, food, and a wide range of artisanal goods from local craftspeople, this event is sure to have something for everyone. Visitors can expect to find leatherwork, apothecary goods, small batch beauty, vintage fashion, jewelry, ceramics, candles, fiber work, woodwork, men's grooming, and much more! The second event is the Fair Trade & Handmade Bazaar in Poughkeepsie, which is being held on both Saturday, December 2 and Sunday, December 3. From 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. (3 p.m. on Sunday), enjoy an international marketplace filled with distinctive crafts, clothing, jewelry, food, live music and much more! With an emphasis on culture and the environment, this is truly a spiritual and ethical shopping experience! Admission is completely free, so be sure to bring your friends and family along. Together, you can sample fair trade goods, enjoy live music, grab a healthful and delicious refreshment at the Soul Full Cafe, and shop for beautiful handicrafts from both around the world and right here in the Valley.
