Everyone is looking forward to the return of First Friday Poughkeepsie in May, but it turns out that we won't have to wait quite that long to get a taste of this great local event! On Friday, April 6, First Friday will be holding a preview event called "Books & Brew – A Night Out in Poughkeepsie" with the Adriance Memorial Library as the featured location! Make sure you come out for a night of fun starting at 5 p.m. at the event's many participating venues.
First Friday Poughkeepsie has partnered with the Poughkeepsie Public Library District, the City of Poughkeepsie, and Vassar College to present this amazing event! Start at the Adriance Memorial Library, where all four of its levels will be showcasing the building's many resources and its international exhibit of children’s books and posters, "Hello, Dear Enemy!", on loan from Munich, Germany! Those who come out to the library will also enjoy welcoming remarks from Mayor Rob Rolison, live music, art, readings, and food and beverage samples from around the area.
The fun continues at the many participating venues around Poughkeepsie, which will be offering a mix of amazing food & beverage specials, art, and live music for guests to enjoy from 5 p.m. through the event's conclusion at 8:30 p.m. For more information about this event, including a list of participating venues, head over to the event page on Facebook.
