East Fishkill is located on 57.3 square miles on the southern border of Dutchess County, and had a population of 29,029 at the 2010 census.
Interstate 84, the Taconic State Parkway, and the Appalachian Trail pass across the town.
East Fishkill includes the communities of Arthurburg, Fishkill Plans, Hopewell Junction, Hortontown, Johnsontown, Lomala, Pecksville, Shenandoah, Stormville, and Wiccopee.
Hudson Valley Research Park is located in the town, and houses 27 divisions and 4,700 regular employees for IBM Microelectronics. IBM also has an advanced, automated processor fabrication facility where the "Cell" processor was co-developed.
